Hello, I'm Kara Joy Germaine owner and main photographer of KV Photography. We are located in Cedar Rapids but shoot all over Iowa. We are happy to announce that 2012 marks our seventh year in business!

Whether you are planning a wedding, expecting a little one or capturing the new stage in your family, we will be there. For portrait sessions environment is key; together we select the best environment for your sessions. We shoot outdoors at many different locations or in the homes of our clients.
About me: Nothing brings me more joy than making people smile, photography is one of the many ways I get to do that. I have been holding a camera for as long as I can remember and I even have a degree in graphic design and photography. I believe that having your photo taken should be fun and I shoot for nothing less. Now let's get personal. I reside in Cedar Rapids with my witty and charming husband Chad and our skittish dog Rylo. I am intolerance of dairy but eat it anyway, am an aunt to twelve nieces and nephews, and I hope to forever remain young at heart.
I am eternally grateful for all the wonderful people photography has brought into my life. Weather it was for a single moment or a lifetime. I wouldn't trade them for all the riches in the world.
